#nyet to flames
7 messages in this thread
to anyone familiar with flame.axp,
in attempting to replicate martin foster's amazing laser burn-in, i have
encountered a bewildering anathema; namely, when i invoke rendering i am
getting the famous "outdated secondary motion data-object flamte (sorry) flame
may render incorrectly" message. i go into the attributes box, press o.k. to
update the motion data and it stills gives me the omnipresent message. what am
i doing incorrectly?
thanks, michael
Michael:
Make sure you are updating the attributes in the Key Framer and not the editor.
Hope that helps.
Craig.
craig,
hmmmmmm. i'm afraid i AM undating the sequence in the keyframer and it seems
that regardless of what values i put in the flame, do the update, and then
render, i get the same message. the flame is linked with the laser beam to a
dummy.
thanks anyway.
michael
Assuming you have the 1.x upgraded version of the routine, Michael, are you
going into the attributes box from the Keyframer?

alan,
whoaaaa! the UPGRADED VERSION 1.x?? from whence did that come, and how may i
find and download it? is it in a library or is this something that i have to
get upgraded from adesk?
sounds like this little gremlin got fixed but i don't have the fix.
thanks, michael
Yup, you need the upgraded version, Michael. Get in touch with GaryY and I'm
sure he'll be glad to update you ASAP!
Have fun,
-Alan
