Hello to all 3D Studio users. Let me introduce myself, my name is Robin Poff and I am a co-sponsor of the Northwest 3D Studio users group. We meet in Bellevue Washington the second Tuesday of each month. If you are in the area and interested in joining us you can contact me via Compu-Serv at the above address. The next order of business is the worlds greatest modeling contest being sponsored by NW Tech. I have had some inquiries and would like to respond. As the leader of a group the most common asked question is not about using 3D Studio, but, " HOW DO I GET WORK ". Well, here is an opportunity. NW TECH has had serious inquiries from people looking for modelers. They decided to round up some prizes to make it a little more interesting. They also added a small fee to pay for the treats on the day of the judging to make it a little more fun (all entrants are welcome). The giving up of your right to the model at first glance might seem worriesome. In my opinion the possible opportunities i.e. job leads, or prizes if you win and access to all the models even if you don't sounds good to me! The only way you get nothing is if you don't enter. Good luck Robin Poff

Robin: The cost has caused a bunch of varied responses. If the money you are collecting is truly to be used for munchies on the day of judging why not make the contest free and ask that those who come to the meeting/judging bring the snacks with them? /_______________________From your message________________________\\ The only way you get nothing is if you don't enter. __________________________________________________________________ The only way to get nothing and have some stranger wolf down $10 worth of snacks is to enter <G>. Last year everybody was hot to trot on getting the PAR. This year everybody is running a contest. You are about the 19th person announcing a contest for models here in the past two weeks. Must be something about Ground Hog Day! <G>
