I just heard that some nodosaur and hadrosaur fossils were found in
Carlsbad southern California apparently in marine sediments. Does anyone know
anything about this or other southern Cal. dino finds (especially west of the
San Andreas)?

I believe that there have only been about half a dozen dinosaur bone finds in
California. The two best known specimens — a couple of bones from marine
rocks at La Jolla, and a more or less complete Anklyosaur from similar rocks in
Carlsbad are on display at the Museum of Natural History in in San Diego. Try
contacting the Museum — Museum of Natural History, Balboa Park, San Diego, CA
should do for an address, or track them down on the telephone and get their
address.

Didn't they pull dinosaurs out of the La Brea tar pits? I know the LA natural
history museum is lousy with dinosaur bones. I myself have seen the Allosaur
in the San Diego museum.
The Geology department at Fresno State proudly displayed a plesiosaur
skeleton found outside Coalinga, but that would be east of the San Andreas.

I have heard of the Carlsbad dinos but can't recall where I heard it from. You
might try calling Dr. George Callison (my former employer) at Dinamation
International Corp. in Irvine CA. His resources are greater than mine at the
moment, and he may have some literature on that.
