I find True BASIC to be fast, but I haven't tried it against a Benchmark program to give you a point oference. It certainly does support lines, circles, box etc. for graphics. It also has window commands and supports text, random access type files and low level "byte" files(machine language etc.). It also has music and speech commands. The DO command permits you to reformat, number, unnumber, or print formatted listings…and you can write your own DO routines to do other things. If you're interested why don't you call or write to True BASIC/ 39 S. Main St./ Hanover, NH 03755 / (603)643-3882… They will send you a FREE demo disk for your computer. It's a limited version of the system. The compiler does not ((as far as I can see) give you a stand-alone program that can run without the BASIC in the computer. Good luck!……………Chris A.
