How can I send a CHR$(0) from a Mod 100 to a printer during text printing?? I need this code for several print functions. It has to be sent from text. Any help will be appreciated. Alex [72237,2150]

Depending on your printer, you might try sending CHR$(128) instead. Many printers do an internal MOD128 with incoming data to lose the most significant bit and the remainder is 0. To embed it in your text, Use CTRL-P first, followed by GRPH-p (Note small "p"). Let me know if it works, and your type of printer, for the record.

You really can't, Alex; has to do with the Model 100 operating system I'm told. BUT — there is a workaround. Use GRAPH-P instead (press GRAPH key and P at the same time). So for an epson you do underline by: U/L On : (^P)(ESC)(-)(1) U/L Off : (^P)(ESC)(-)(GRAPH-P) where the parens are not typed. This may not work if you print using SHIFT -PRINT, tho. May need a print processor such as PRINTR.100 in DL0. An easier way is to get PRN100 (start with doc) in DL0. It's machine language, easy to use and automates (as best can be done) the code embedding process. Or, to go first-class, buy LAPWORD; see DL6 for info. Phil p.s. — If you have a Model 200, check out message #88365
