I havfe tried to add a template in sculpture, but the picture looked a little bit "rotated". Are there resolution-limits for the pictures, or is this a bug in AM? I have tried different pictures and image-formats (PCX, BMP and TGA) with different color-resolutions (B/W, greyscale, 256 colours and true-color), but the result is always the same. Waiting for a kind answer … Hartmut

From my experience and talks with Hash, you should create template images that are divisible by 4 ( both horizontally and vertically). Otherwise, I don't think there's any other restrictions. -Kevin Clark

PMJI, Could you please explain templates a little more? What form must they be in to be imported. I am working on a Mac BTW. Elsby

Hi Elsby, Welcome to Hash Land <G>! Even though A:M claims Pict and PCX, Targas work best. I have been successful using 8-bit picts and PCXs, but was told that targas are faster and they work in 24-bit, so targa it is! Jim

Thank you for the welcome, Jim. Hmmm. I've spent some time this evening trying just about every file type I could think for a template but no luck. I'm sure I tried targa too! Anything else I should know about them, size, dimensions, etc.? Oh well back to the coalface! Elsby

Elsby, I know that I have used 5-bit pcxs as templates successfully. OH YEAH! Remember this program is designed to be a cross-platform app, so do not use SPACES or any character other than a letter or a number in the files AND folder names. This tripped me up several times until I figured that out (although it is in the manual, it just blew past me at first <G>). I'll try templates again today and let you know if there is any other trick. Jim
