I bought the 3D Modeling Lab book with Imagine 2.0 I tried running it and it
says " 80387 needed but not detected". Do I need a math co.? I have a 486 sx25
with 8 megs of RAM and a Hercules Dynamite video card. Will it be necesary for
me to by an DX2 Overdrive Processor to run this software? I really appreciate
your help. Please reply as soon as possible.

Yes, many 3D Ray Tracing and CPU intensive packages in general require a math
co-processor. Imagine is one of them, and will not operate without one.

There is a demo of a co-processor emulator (I don't know the name of it)
floating around in one of the forums. It should let you try out the program to
see if you want to spend the money on a co-processor (and Im3.1). The demo has
a 20 min time limit I believe.

Yes, if you get the message like I did of a 387 needed then you do need to
install a math co-processor. Joe Bracco
