What i would like to do is compose a graphic on PixelScript then import the art
into a desktop publishing program like Citydesk, is there a way to do this, to
import the art is an IFF graphic ?

Richard, You can't compose anything on PixelScript. Its purpose is to translate
postscript files created with other programs (Ppage, Pagestream, Excellence!,
etc.) and print them on any printer. his it does beautifully.
BTW if you own ExpressPaint and alot of memory you can use PixelScript to
convert any postscript file to an IFF graphic. PixelScript can "print" to
ExpressPaint's virtual page. A virtual page is simply a very large (around
2400×3000) graphic image. Once Pixelscript has "printed" the ps file into the
vp then it can be manipulated just like any graphic image, and saved in whole
or part as an iff file. Deluxe Photo Lab's Paint program can also handle these
very large images once they are saved from ExpressPaint.
Boy, if I keep on answering all these PixelScript questions I may be made an
honorary PxS rep and be given all sorts of free disks filled with fonts and
clip art. Well I can dream can't I!

I check in here almost every day, so I would be glad to help out if you would
like. I am a teacher, running a program for gifted students grades 7-9 so I am
used to answering questions. My system includes an A-2000 with 1meg chip and
2megs fast ram, two 40 meg HDs, and a deskjet. At school we are running two
A-1000s, but I hope to add an A-500 this year. I hae access to most of the
paint, wp, and DTP programs (I'll have PPage 1.3 once my Pagestream "upgrade"
gets here). I am also the librarian for the Fairfield County Amiga Users Group,
and have been involved with the Aniga since the very beginning when I bought my
very early A1000.
BTW I will be presenting a workshop on the use of the Amiga in Gifted &
Talented programs in March at Connecticut's annual update conference on Gifted
education. Printscript will be demonstrated during the section on DTP. If you
would like to send me some literature I would be glad to include it in
information packet I hand out to those attending.

I'd be happy to send some literature — just let me know how many people
will be attending the workshop. I'm also delighted to hear that your
school district has programs for gifted students. When I was in school the
favored approach was to double my homework load!

sense to me. I will be picking up a copy and probably some fonts too.

In regards to your comment about using ExpressPaint to load the vp produced
with PXS there is a slight problem! Exp does not yet recognize any vps
produced by Pixelscript! I have a work around though, you must download the
program PageControl either from the BBS supplied by CLtd or it is here in
the forum libraries I believe. PC will let you cut and paste one vp into
another. I have been in direct contact by phone with both Justin from
Pixelations and with Ron Little of Par Software in an attempt to get these
companies to talk to each other and solve the problems with the page
manager. PXS produces a vp slightly larger than the accepted standard 2448
x 3204 page size for a letter size page. But that is not the reason for
the problems. I have defined the pxs size page into Exp definition window
and it still can't locate the vp. Hopefully some time soon a fix will
appear.
