#PMORPH2 Direction
4 messages in this thread
I am interested in hearing more about the direction of this product. I have
just purchased the product and enjoy it very much.
I remember hearing that PM2 was the "Best Morphing … of 1993". What plans do
you have now that it is 1995? Is this a tool
that I can grow with?
One technical question, I have seen morph transitions where the image turns
into lots of little dots like being "beamed up".
Is this effect available? I didn't find it.
PhotoMorph is most definately a product you can grow with. We are always
working to enhance the product. For example:
1993 – PhotoMorph 1 was released. The best Morphing & Warping for Windows at
that time.
1993 (fall) ver 1.2. Adds 18 distortion effects to PhotoMorph 1. Free update to
registered users of 1.0
1994 (Jan) PhotoMorph 1.2 wins "Best of 1993" from PC Magazine
1994 (spring) ver 2.0. Adds complete video production and special effects.
Motion morphing, Chroma Keying, Colorization, multiple effects layers, complete
support for Alpha Channels, 256,000 transitions, and tons more. Upgrade to
registered users: $25.00, competitive upgrade: $40.00
1994 (fall) DV Magazine rates PhotoMorph 2.0 9.5 out of 10, winning the "Award
of Excellence" and entering a 3 way tie for the highest rating a software
product has ever achived in the history of the magazine.
1994 (winter) PhotoMorph 2 becomes available native to 32-Bit Windows NT
1995 (1st Q) Announcements for the following:
a. New Filter: Stylize – adds 30 "PhotoShop Style" effects to PhotoMorph.
Price: $50.00
b. New Format: PhotoCD support direct to PhotoMorph. Price: TBD.
c. New Version: 2.02 – free to registered users.
I'm not at liberty to disclose what else 1995 holds for PhotoMorph. However, I
will say that it will continue in our tradition of high value, economically
priced products.
(end of sales pitch)

BTW, I did not forget your other question: "How do I do 'Beam Up' effects?"
Sometime today a new file should appear in the library: BEAMUP.TXT. It descibes
exactly what is needed to create the effect.
Look for it and use it!
Good Luck,
