I've seen a few posts mentioning "Transjammer". Can you direct me to, or post a description of that product. Is it PowerMac native? Thanks, Mike R.

TransJammer for Macintosh is PowerPC native and will also run on 68k Macs w/ FPU (it is a Fat Binary file) and it also includes a plug-in for Premeire so it can use the 100 or so effects that come w/ Mac TransJammer Chris Edgin ERI tech.

TransJammer Volume 1 is a suite of 100 killer transitional effects which can be used in Adobe Premiere (on the Macintosh). The Windows version can be used in in:sync's Razor Pro and in Adobe Premiere. Each of the 100 (actually slightly more than 100) effects has up to 8 variations, so technically, there are hundreds of effects in each TransJammer volume. Volume 1 will be out shortly for both Mac and Windows (yes, the Razor fans here on CIS have motivated us to get the lead out :-). Additional volumes will appear on a more or less unpredictable basis. All of TransJammer's effects are anti-aliased, and are resolution and time independent. Their performance is slower than Premiere's fastest built-in effects, but faster than Premiere's slowest built-in effects (to give an idea). This is actually saying A LOT since programs like Premiere and Razor typically use hard coded effects plug-ins and TransJammer is more like an effects interpreter. Jason ERI Graveyard Shift

Jason, Great news (I think) about the Transjammer package for Windows. I just have one tiny little problem (what else is new :D). Not that ER isn't a fantastic product worth every penny paid for it, but many of us bought ER/TJ for the sole purpose of being able to use it with Razor Pro. Does this now mean that we will have to spend more $$$ for yet another package? Will there be an upgrade version? What about the plugin module that was to allow us to use our existing TJ stuff? Please help stifle the rampant paranoia brewing here. Thanks! Dean Oliver Virtually Real

Dean, TransJammer (the Razor and Premiere plug-in) has been highly optimized since the ER 1.0 release. In fact, its effects now run 2 to 6 times faster within the new TransJammer plug-in than they do in the ER 1.0. So, a lot of work has gone on in the intervening time. Also, of course, there are 100+ effects in the plug-in version which is more than was shipped with ER. And, the plug-in adapter themselves were a challenge to create since they had to adapt the Razor/Premiere differences with respect to TransJammer AND also deal with 16 and 32 bit issues since TJ is a 32 bit app and Razor and Premiere are not. The plug-in TransJammer will be a seperate product at a $149.95 suggested retail price. Negotiations with in:sync are in process now which would result in a very significant offer being made available to registered Razor owners. While I can't give any details on this, I'm told the offer will be *very* generous and if you haven't registered your copy of Razor, this will be a big incentive to do so. Bob, Give us a few days yet. The boss is close to ironing things out with the folks over at in:sync so that razor customers will get some goodies. Jason Intellectual Body Guard
