#Topic of the Week
4 messages in this thread
Hi John,
>> As one of the Sysops I must admit that I am not doing a good job of moving
threads around to appropriate sections. I appreciate your feedback and will try
and do a better job of it. Hereforth you will find "religous" discussions in
the recently renamed "Ramblings" section of this forum. <<
Sounds like a great idea John. Thanks for jumping in.
I would also like to make a suggestion for getting this forum going in one
direction or anouther. What would you say to having a topic of the week that we
could all add input to?? As a few suggestions how about the following.
1. SIV ideas.
2. WFM V-Scope techniques.
3. Equipment reviews ie, tell us about the decks, cammera, editing system,
graphic software etc… this might help those that are new DTVer's to make a
educated disicion on what gear to buy. Of course some restraint would be in
order to make sure that it dosen't turn into anouther flame fest.
4. Lighting tips.
5. Audio tricks.
6. Marketing youself or your video.
Well there is a month and a half of ideas if should to decide to accept this
mission…..this message will self destruct in 5 seconds :-))))
I just think that there is a wealth of knowlege out there that we could
all tap into and use to our benifit if we could just get things going in the
right direction.

Michael,
Good idea regarding the topic of the week. I am very interested in the WFM and
V-Scope techniques, and am not sure what SIV ideas is, so why don't we start a
WFM/Timing/VScope thread now?
I am going to try and add it to our news flash to alert interested parties. Do
you want to post a starting message or shall I? We probably want to use the
"news and reviews" message section for this, no?

SIV would be Speccial Interest Videos. If you want to start with WFM (
waveform monitor for those that are a little confused about it ) and V-Scope
stuff then I guess I could start it.

Sounds great. I will post a question there.

Scary. I find myself agreeing with you altogether too many times! <G>. Good
idea. This forum needs some of the productive kinds of threads that we have on
the FAST forum. They should be interesting too, because the audience is not
just limited to Fasties.
