#Field Rendering?
10 messages in this thread
I bought ER Version 1.0 (build date 8-9-94) last year. I'm wondering if there
is a version planned or out that will support field rendering (nearly all my
animation work in video is field rendered)?
We have a had a couple of requests for field rendering but we have not released
a version that does that yet but it might be a possiblity for future versions.
I will let everyone know if something becomes of this.

Thanks for the reply — I'll look forward to this capability if it comes.
So, is my version the latest and/or are there any enhancements I should know
about that would be worth upgrading?
Mike,
I think the only differences between 1.0 and 1.1 is that AVI load and
save was made more reliable, support for AVI under Windows NT was added,
and the promised FLC loaders and savers were added. All of these things
can be had by downing the hiipup.zip file here in the Elastic Reality
data library.

Thanks, I'll d/l that file right now.
Yes yes we that have PAR's
need field rendering to make movement look good.
Thanks Bob The Design Shop
I want to add my vote for field rendering (PAR user). What's the latest on the
TJ drivers???

Mike,
Indeed there is. ER's internals are field happy…we simply have to make
the input/output routines speak fields. For now, you can specify twice the
number of frames you want as output (if you're working on still projects)
or load your input frames on twos (if you're working on moving projects)
and use another utility (is there one, anyone?) to toss out half the
resulting data doing the proper interlacing as it goes.
