#Going to video tape
3 messages in this thread
I am going to need to take some .flc's I've created in Animator Pro to video. I
have the PAR, the TBC-14, and GRASP 4.5. I have used the PAR to create my demo
reel from 3D Studio, but I have not yet attempted to put .flc's to tape. What
would anyone suggest is the best route to get these ani's to a video tape.
Thanks.

I'm sure others know a lot more…
I've put .flc's out to tape right from Ani Pro with my Targa+64.
Otherwise, I bring them into 3DS and use Video Post for output to the PAR.
Are they at 30fps? Use the PAR. If not, you can vary playback speed in
Ani Pro, I'm not very familiar with the other .flc players, but I'm sure you
can with them too.
Are they full screen? To keep the speed up for previews, I used to render
at stuff for video at 256×243 in 3DS and play back on my Targa+ from Ani Pro
(before I got my PAR).

James,
When I need to put .FLC's out to tape, I use my PAR and 3D Studio. I just
render a empty (no model) animation with the FLC set as the background image
and background set to "rescale" (rather than "tile") in the render setup menu.
This will work perfectly if your flc's are 30fps.
Good luck
