Bob I'm headed to Austin and San Antonio for the weekend. Do you need anything from down that way while I'm there? ( I'm sure your Dallas office would be glad to send you anything that isn't alive) I'm going to see if anyone is working the weekend at Iguana Entertainment. They've been advertising for 3d artists so I thought I'd get a look at what they do and hang out w/ the guys and gals (if they're friendly). Whilst I'm in San Anton I'll be dropping the BIG bucks at Mi Tiara Bakery!! Best mexican bakery (only one I know of) !!! Weird but Delicioso!Candied Pumpkin??? Yes, and VERY good! The Alamo is on the agenda because I've always wanted to digitize it so I'll be making some detail photos!! I guess you've convinced me that people cards are ok so there WILL be a Davy Crockett default card as well as the standard Jim Bowie!! On my way back I'll be stopping at Computer City (after closing hours) to pick up an extra 32 mb of ram, a slave system and maybe the Monty Python's cd!! Should be a fun weekend away from the evil box, refreshed and ready to start monday!! Keep the shiny side up, Gary

While you're in Austin head to Iron Works BBQ for the best BBQ you will ever eat– It's the thing I miss most about Austin— (Get the beef ribs– they're great) Doug Slemmer- Dallas, Texas

Doug I ate breakfast at the Magnolia (BREAKFAST TACOS&Habanero salza) bought the t-shirt, watched the crowd (looked like a tight shot of the crowd in Woodstock) Then Jogged the trails (w/ heavy-duty heart burn). Forgot all my physical ailments as I noticed the condition of the other joggers!! They must not eat at Magnolias or Ironworks!! Ann Richards and her cabinet were out, trying to do a little reconditioning<g>. I mentioned that I'd like to eat at Ironworks and my Austin friend's face lit up. He said "Legendary BBQ"! Sadly we missed lunch and had dinner at Louies 106 at 6th and Congress. I will catch it next time, I've got a project going on down there that means I'll be going back next week. I also plan to get a tour of Iguana and Origin Entertainment if those places are not locked down for understandable reasons. At any rate, thanx for the lead to Ironworks, made me sound good anyway!! Bob Sadly what I remembered as candied pumkin was indeed candied GOAT entrails!! Boy was I surprised!! After my Menudo I ordered candied pumkins, the waiter seemed confused so I took him to the glass case. As I pointed it out I noticed he was smiling!! As I was finishing off the last tasty tidbits a person from a neighboring table explained what I'd ordered….Well it kind of tasted like chicken(doesn't everything!!) Well as luck would have it (in Austin) Iguana was closed and so was Origin. I have a friend in Austin who was supposed to be good friends w/ a partner at Origin but he turned out to be only a programmer!! I hope this is even the right Origin!! Nothing has been as it seemed this trip!! I spent my saturday on the jogging trails and soccer fields near UT and Lake Austin. Oh, to be that young again!! Sorry I didn't bring anything back but the bakery was specific about what I planned to do with my puchases and said that shipment was forbidden if the destination was farther north than Maypearl or Waxa-by-god-hachie! Ok, so it's the candied pumpkins and Python cd that gets you and not the armed robbery for much needed work stuff,,, I'll remember that! Seriously, the cd is on my Monday list #1!! Gary
