#vue files,farlap-mem.

Hi all could someone give me some pointers on using vue files? whais one to put on the command line to use them . It's not clear to me and I have tryed from time to time use them with no luck. and if you do render from the command line dose the farlap reset the mem. after each rendor ??? Thanks Ben Barron

Hi Ben, << .vue..>> Is described on pgs 2-12 and 8-120 of the 3DS Ref. Manual and also in the Advanced Users Guide. Also, when executing 3ds from the command line, each execution of "3ds render" will reset the created swap file. jonas[adesk]

Thanks Jonas why don't the .vus files get more play as you say thay reset ihe mem. for each render and thus solve one of the big problems with rendering in 3ds ? how does render time compair ?? Ben

The network rendering environment is the most productive for me. You'll have to run some benchmarks of your own. I do not have any data regarding this to share.
