Seems like a DPS-PAR without the disk interface, or am I missing something,
or something left out of the ad? Anyone seen this thing? I am only seeing an
ad in Computer Shopper and the ad says it comes with Adobe Premiere.
Any comments?

Main difference w/o all the jargon is that PAR output is virtually "broadcast
quality" (762×480). The Miro doesn't come close. Big difference visually!
(And the bundled version of Premiere is 1.0—not worth much w/o the $179
upgrade). In defense of the Miro, however, it's a good M-JPEG capture card for
for the money, but I'd wait for the PCI version.

Very interesting. Especially since it does not have the disk interface on
the board, the PCI seems like the thing to wait for.

I called and was told the PCI version will be available in June. I am
curious and they are sending literature.
Thanks again for the telephone number. I had called a retailer and was told
the company is in Germany. I also did a "FIND MIRO" on Compuserve and they are
here. But the opening screen is in German and my German is more than one but
less than minimally functional <g>.
Glad I could help. Seems to be the best video capture board for under $1000.
btw, the CIS support forum is German & English (although most posts seem to be
in German for some reason).
