#Fascinating problem…
3 messages in this thread
Based on a suggestion you made to another user, I downloaded the 1.30Z drivers
for my Diamond Stealth 64 VRAM board. When I run the demo CD now, I see the
animation (hurrah). Unfortunately, it also blows my sound out of the water, so
I don't hear the narration, or anything else until I reboot Windows…
Any ideas?
Thanks,

Ewan,
PMJI.
A few things I remember about your problem (hopefully correctly <g>), is check
to see if the volume is adjusted correctly in the Diamond driver (if there is
this feature). The other thing to try is erase the DCSHKEY.EXE statement from
the load= line in Win.ini (backup this file first).
See if this helps.
Richard
Ewan,
Remove the DCSHKEY.EXE from the load= line in win.ini…just erase it…Sound
is controlled from the InControl icon and group in Control panel and this
disables it. Set sound volume from your Mixer if it's a SB16 card.
Change load=DCSHKEY.EXE…ETC to load=etc.
