/* Is there a way to open up a DWG file from AutoCad in 3DS? */ No, there isn't, BUT… here's what you can do. AutoCAD R13 has a command called 3DSOUT which will crsate 3D Studio (3DS) files. Also, AutoCAD has a command called DXFOUT which created DXF files and these can be imported into 3D Studio's 3D Editor, 2D Shaper and 3D Lofter. It's all up the person on the AutoCAD side to create a workable file. Maybe later we'll get a DWG read facility in 3D Studio. -dave
