Does anyone know if Pure Logic Software, authors of ON THE BALL which seems to me to be a fine program is still around? I'd love to register the program and get an updated version. It's a goodie! C. Davey

Hi, C.Davey — Looking at the latest issue of Amazing Computing, I see an ad from Oregon Research listing OTB as one of their products now. Phone (503) 620-4919, or CIS 71333,2655… It is a clever little critter, isn't it? — Ed (In Nawth NH) — [via AP!]

Thanks for the info, Ed. Yes, it IS a clever little critter and I MUST have a copy! Do you use it? I'll bet the registered version is very nice. Thanks again. C. Davey

Hi, C. Davey — I tried out the demo of OnTheBall from the libs here — liked it, but always have a hard time with on-line documentation — so I didn't get it set up exactly as I wanted, and never got around to sending off for the registered version with hardcopy dox. I am off to the Caribbean (gloat, gloat) for the next couple of weeks, but if when I get back I have any money left, I think I'll see if any of the dealers (Safe Harbor, etc) have it in stock yet… It does more than any other PIM I've seen for the Amiga… — Ed (In Nawth NH) — [via AP!]

Well, Information Manager Professional is a pretty nice one too, but it is buggy and convoluted in it's set-up. I just bought it. OTB is much nicer and more striaghtforward. I've ordered it from Oregon Research so by the time you get back I should have a good handle on it. _tay tuned and have a good trip. C. Davey
