Hi NRI,
I use MAC OS 7.5 where as I think CD-ROM drivers are included. On the other
hand I got from an Apple-dealer some files which should be drivers too. I put
them into my drawer called system-extentions ("System Erweiterungen" in
German). But all that didn4t help.

The apple CD-ROM driver works only with apple CD-ROM drives. So, if you're
using a non-apple CD-ROM, you'll have to get a driver for non-Apple CD-ROMS.
Hmmm….

Hi NRI
thank you for response.
Do you have any suggestions how to get a driver for Toshiba drives?

Apple's drivers with 7.5 are only for Apple's CD-ROM drive. They won't work
with any other mechanism.
Hi Steven,
I got this message already. I will try to get some driver software for my
Toshiba drive. But thank you anyway.

Rainer,
I've been very successful with FWB Hammer's CD-ROM Toolkit, which is
not very expensive and seems to support a large number of drives. I use it on
a Mac Performa 450 with a Toshiba 3201E drive and I've used it successfully on
a NEC 3xi. It seems to work quite well with Toshiba drives. It's less
expensive and not as complex as Corel SCSI.
