#SWReg Scam?

I finally decided to register MUI, due at least in part to the fact that I
could do it via SWReg. But SWReg told me it would cost $59.95 while the
registration tool included with the MUI 2.3 distribution said US $20! What's
the deal?
This is especially bad because just before that I registered Diavolo via SWReg
for $65 or $70 – was that price similarly inflated? I couldn't find a
registration price anywhere in the Diavolo docs.
Is the huge difference the result of overhead and profit for Compuserve? That
seems like a whopping big profit margin.

Ask the author, simple as that. CompuServe charges 15% of registration fee
for their services. In this case, it appears Stuntz is attempting to rip you
off.

I sent $20 to the US SASG site for MagicCX months ago and have recieved nothing
back yet. Next time I might try sending straight to the author. I want to
register MagicWB 2 and MUI, but I don't really want to use the US site again. I
guess I send money straight to the authors. I don't know how they will feel
about getting US dollars though.

I sent some email on an unrelated issue to the sasg address and just got an
automated reply advertising their software.
