Has anyone heard of rendering software to allow me to use my 275 mhz dec alphas
for processing my 3DS-3 (or 4) files. I have heard some noise that autodesk is
working with aspen systems on a package to use the tremendous speed of this
machine. Our own software runs 3 to 6 times faster on this machine than on our
90 mhz pentiums

At this time, I am not familiar with any product to do this.

Autodesk has announced plans to bring 3DS to NT "sometime before the end of the
year", Kent, and that's all they seem to be saying for now. Whether or not it
will ever be re-compiled for optimum performance on Alpha-based machines
remains to be seen. Sounds like a pretty good idea to me, though…
