Bill, What happens if it can find the .lzf file? Everything work OK? Knowing this will help me track down the problem. Aaron

***What happens if it can find the .lzf file?*** Well…it calls the External process, but since it cant find the .lzf it doesnt pass control to LenZFX. In the net que log file I see several message lines saying "Unable to load file c:\3ds3\process\lenzfx\name.lzf". The net control file drops the slave from rendering untill I go in an "clean failed machines". I notice that it will cruise along fine for awhile then do this. It doesnt appear to have a pattern, nor does it give th "unable to load.." message the same number of times at each occurrance. I know I am attempting something that is not the "normal" way but am curious as to why the memory size used keeps growing until the render is finished. Leave it to us users of your fine software to push the envelope then ask "why?". Maybe this is something to address in the error handling routine? Anyway, thanks for the prompt query to my query and thank you for LenZFX! Bill

Bill, You're more than welcome. Keep an eye out for further LenZFX enhancements. They're coming and they're gonna blow you away <g>. Literally. I'll do some experimenting around with your network problem. Aaron

Aaron, Maybe you can shed some light on what may be ahpening to a client of mine. It seems that he keeps creating "unmovable Files" whenever he creates a new LensZFX effect. Apparently he's loading an original effect and modifying his settings then resaving it. This creates a nonmovable file that Norton can't touch. We can read it with Norton's Map Walk and the unmovable sector always contains one of his newly created LensZFX effects. What do Ya' Think could be Happening? Murph'
