Steve: Judy Weller was working on a horse a while back I think. Viewpoint probably could sell you a horse mesh. I'd love to see your carousel animation when you've completed it. My aunt, Charlotte Dinger, has one the world's foremost collections of carousel horses. She put out a coffee table book a couple years ago, "The World of the Carousel" and owns a carousel museum in Lahaska, Pennsylvania. I bet she'd get a kick out of a computer animation of her favorite hobby. Will your animation be for broadcast? Bob

Robert, I will probably make the carousel available to you guys here in the AutoDesk forum when it's complete (got to find those horses first). It's part of a complete carnival atmosphere animation sequence I've been toying with (Carousel, Wooden Roller Coaster, the works) Been working on it for a while, just trying to get the physics of each of the "rides" correct. It would make a great broadcast animation when completed, and I'll probably render it to tape with PAR sometime at the end of the year, maybe sooner (just bought a P5/100 with 32MB to speed things up a bit). Look for it in the 3D Studio forum's files proabably around Sept or so. I'll upload a clip when I'm ready. Thanks for the info on the horses. How do I get in touch with Viewpoint? Steve

Thanks for the info. I'll try Viewpoint, and get a crackin' on the carousel.
