OK, I've read the reasons given for not grouping listings by issue, but why do you have to hide them by changing the names of the files? I searched for express.c and textsrch.c, but got no hits. I had to wade through all the junk to find txtexp.asc and txtsrc.asc. Why? It's a real pain in the ***!

The listings are .asc to indicate ascii, as opposed to some other format. Since they are concatenated, and generally appear as printed, to name them something like .c would be misleading. And indeed, the listings are keyworded by month. Tom G.

Colin, Compuserve forces us to use six character filenames (excluding extension).
