Hello Bob, Nice to see you here too! Yes, I have Elastic Reality and, like you, am getting tired of waiting for ERI to get us those Razor Pro plug-ins. I am seriously considering selling my copy and holding out for Hollywood FX. This is a true 3D transition, warping, etc package being developed from it's Amiga and SGI roots. Drop me a line anytime! I think my copy of Elastic Reality will go up for sale very very soon.. The only thing that holds me back is the plug-in that I heard will go on sale this month for Razor Pro. My biggest complaint on the windows package is the the aliasing/blending of warps and composites leave very jagged edges on angled lines. I had quite a mail volley this week and asked some very pointed questions which had no direct answers.. They tried to be helpful but I believe that this package is not a port of the SGI version but rather a cheaper copy.. The morph control is outstanding. I havent compared it to Gryphon Morph which I didnt upgrade, due to the Elastic Reality purchase at Comdex, but now I wish I had.. Have you heard of Black Belt Systems ?? I just picked up their package WinF/X and morph and they make some very heavy claims for such a low priced product. I have never heard of Hollywood F/X can you tell me more about it ?? Hi Bob, All I can tell you about Hollywood FX is that I saw an ad for it in Video Toaster Users magazine that said they were coming out with a Windows version. If you call them, they will send you a video of what FX is all about. It looked very impressive. The ability to have 3D warps, morphs, and transitions looked too nice! PMFJI, Hollywood FX is a frontend control for LightWave 3D. It allows you to do ADO-style moves using image sequences in LW. It has an easy to use interface, so even a novice can create exceptional work. I do not work for the company, I just had some chances to play with the software and it does work. Thanks for the info Stan, I had a pretty lengtly conversation with those folks and after seeing the specs and video for the upcoming Windows version, I can't wait. Hmmm…now if they would only come up with an IPAS for 3D Studio! 🙂 Dean Oliver Virtually Real
