I'm wondering if anyone has any general knowledge regarding VIDEO DIRECTOR
software. I'm looking to create 5 second video clips to play as Q/T movies on
the mac and am curious about the ways I might accomplish this task. I am a
locations manager with a national TV series and would like to be able to
catalog my locations onto disk.

If this is the Video Director from Gold Disk, I believe that it would be
limited to creating a "database" or "log" of video clips, however it would not
digitally record them onto a harddrive in a digital format suitable for
multi-media type applications.
For that you would need a Video Capture Card and it is quite possible that one
exists that would have decent "database" and/or "logging" functions allowing
for search/sort and other random recall.

Isn't Video Director a Windows program? There are a number of Mac based
(assuming Mac because of the message area) editing program. Adobe Premiere is
rather good, cheap and popular.
How do you plan on getting the clips in the mac? A video capture board or an
A/V Mac?
