NEED HELP. I don't know video . I want to single capture 8mm frames and convert to TGA graphics format. Must have excellent quality (compare to film ) . Any ideas? Thanks Nick

Gee, I wonder if one of those 35mm slide scanners could be made to work . . .

No. Slide scanners don't work on video tape.

Nick, Are these 8mm frames available as a composite video signal, and do you have a good quality "still" feature? If so there are devices like "Snappy" from Play, inc. that will capture frames from video in a pretty decent quality. -John

Nick, Find a place that uses an Amiga Video Toaster setup and you can get some excelent frame grabs from any kind of video. The framestores can easily be converted to TGA and used on any platform. What type of computer are you interested in using? ….John
