It's just the kind of guy I am! :^)

Stay that way! 🙂

If you saw my response to Greg, I agreed with him too. I can always count on
Greg to put me straight on UNIX, but it's not an option (unless you include the
SGI command line 3ds renderer).
However, it seems to me that you take a lot of pleasure from just disagreeing
for the sake of disagreeing without any real conviction behind your views. This
may seem like a lot of fun, but the whole point of this forum is support and
you may find yourself lacking support when you really need it, if you continue
picking fights with or just irritating people for a laugh.
It seems to me, that the only opinions allowed are the one that are
agreeable to the "mainstream". I'm sorry that you think I'm doing
this for fun, once you dig into the realities of MS windows and its
clones, you'll realize, that I'm not kidding here…
Jack,

not at all true. If it were true, you would have been barred from the
forum. However, there's a way of doing this without antagonizing
people which you seem particularly skilled at. Although, at other
times you make some important points.
Hey Martin,
Haven't our loooooong experience in the forum teached us some good lessons
about this kind of guerrilla wars that came time to time to Asoft? 🙂 Oh boy,
I remember a very very very old discussion with Paul about the excellences of
Warner Bros. cartoons. That wasn't guerrilla war, though, but it got really
hard. hhhm, now that I think about it, that was total thermonuclear war indeed.
I enjoyed it though (maybe you remember it Paul? 🙂 Now, and after a lot of
not so well thought replies and rude people at the other side of the line, I
have lost my energy for that kind of replies in favor of a more "live and left
die"-like spirit.
Are you reading this Paul, why don't take this over Take 5 and start a
discussion with real arguments, some cannons and a few bacteriological weapons?
You pick the topic <bg>

ana,
I do remember our "heated" discussion. I've sinced changed my ways. 🙂 The
forum has changed considerably since that time. I much prefer e-mail
discussions and debates now. One need only review some of the recent threads in
Asoft to realize that there's way too much mean spiritedness floating around.
It's too hard for me to paint pretty pictures when my karma's out of whack. 🙂
You're one of my favorites ….. if you have a good topic for "discussion"
e-mail me. That way we can keep it in the context of an agressive exchange over
an expresso or glass of wine, as opposed to getting bloody in a senseless riot.
Paul
To be honest, I don't have any topic interesting enough to talk about
right now. I don't feel like public places are the correct ones
anymore, either 🙂 Funny thing, how things change in only a couple of
years. Maybe we can move to AOL and start all over again (NO!) <g>
Ana,

sometimes, it's unavoidable to get in a fight. The only sure way to
avoid one is to say nothing at all and I'm not going to do that.
Sometimes "lively" discussions make this place more fun.
yeah, but one thing is a lively discussion and the other is just getting into
non sense arguments for just the pleasure of it (specially for the pleasure of
specific individuals that seem to like watch the place in flames). I like to
discuss (in the most classical bizantine sense), and you know that, but I think
that other topics are best suitable for that than how bad NT is going to be for
the future of 3DS.

yes, I agree with you on that point entirely. That's why I cautioned Jack Death
that if he went _too_ far, everybody would eventually just ignore him. And how
long can you just talk to yourself? <g>.

Why, I've been doing it for years, and aside from this little twitch… :^)

Love it, keep on talking… <g>

Hmmm, now you get me confused, are you mainstream, or don't you just not
tolerate others' opinions? <G>
" However, there's a way of doing this without antagonizing people which you

I just wonder why "little sny comments" like that bring out the best in me..
<VMBG>
"Although, at other times you make some important points. "
Of course, once you realize that I'm not here to antagonize, unless you start
it. ( I'd never refuse a good argument, that's half the fun of this forum.
People come in with good solutions, good ideas, good criticsim, good… etc.
Just keep in mind, I DO LOVE MY 3DS, and wouldn't trade it for anything (unless
I could afford everything), I just don't like attacks, instead of argument))
(Damn, you do that, and you get me cooking…<g>)
See, I'm one of these "stupid idiots" that needs to be convinved, not
"belittled"
I'm sure that the NT aproach is better than the DOS aproach, if and ONLY if, NT
proves to be what MS claims it to be. (but then, we all know what they claim
and the diff. to reality)
I think everybody here is overreacting to what I say, I DO have REAL gripes
about the subject, but nobody seems to be able to tell me different, instead
they come up wiht the "if you don't like it, get lost aproach, now, that gets
me "ticking". <g>
Jack
PS: Though we do have our "differences", I think we agree on more than we both
know…
