Paul, Are you sure you have the same card? The Diamond Viper SE w/4meg VRAM (PCI version). If you're sure please tell me how you got this baby to work because the 3DSR4 I just purchased doesn't seem to recognize the card when I run 3DS VIBCFG. Thanks for your help. Derek

Derek; I have the Diamond Viper Pro PCI w/ 4mb, pretty much the same card. One thing you have to do prior to trying to get the card to work in 3DS is install the utilities that come with the card. Then use to video mode setup utility to define the monitor and it's capabilities that you are using with the card. Once you go through these steps it creates a *.dat file that 3DS needs to see in order to work correctly with your card. I hope this works, let me know. Zac (AZ-TECH) Berkeley

thanks Zac, The problem has been resolved! It seems that my motherboard incorporated the OPTI chipset and has PCI, VLB and ISA slots. Both of which were a formula for disaster. My new board has the INTEL chipset and PCI and EISA slots. This combo works perfectly. It sure is nice to see the 3D editor in somthing other than 640 x 480. Thanks again for the advice though. Derek
