#Rendering DXF Files
5 messages in this thread
I just imported a DXF file from Autocad to 3DS, I was just
wondering if anyone knows of any special treatment that these files
should recieve when setting them up for rendering or are they the
same deal as a regular 3DS file?
Hi Jim,
<< ..dxf into 3ds.. >>
One place to start is to review the tips found on pg. 3-40 of the 3ds
Reference Manual.

I'd say it's impossible to become fluent with 3DS without cracking the
books. 🙂 You may find additional insights into efficient DXF->3DS
issues in the "Inside 3DS for R4" book that had
contributions/chapters written by several architects. You may want to
peruse it at your local bookstore.

I plan on getting it! Thanks
