Question of Dual Serial

As a new owner of your Dual Serial Board, I'm very pleased and the board seems
to work well in several applications. There is one request I'd like to make.
When using the SERXI-Handler to support an auxiliary terminal, I've found that
there are some incompatibilities with respect to the Commodore AUX: handler.
The most annoying is that DEL does not delete the previous character, but
backspace does. The original AUX handler would delete the previous character
on BOTH backspace and delete. Some of the other editing control characters,
like ^U to delete part of a line are not apparently supported either, but this
is no major problem to me.
Also, it would be helpful to me to be able to access the DSR, CTS or RI
lines rapidly, as I'm using them as control inputs in a non-standard
appliaction. Would an io_Command be the appropriate way to do this?
An io_Command is provided to allow access to the control lines. Please let
me know what the label on your disk says (as to version) and I will update
you electronically if necessary.

Hi Perry,whilst on the subject of the DSB,how easy is to upgrade to more
serial ports than what is already on the card,and obviously the approximate
cost of doing that upgrade per serial port(or per 2 serial ports) ??
How many of the older DSB's where sent out,and would you think that any
would still be around??..if there are any,how could I specify the newer
version from somewhere like LightSpeed?? … like would they know the
difference between the two.

Adding more serial ports is accomplished by adding more DSBs. The first
production run had 6MHz parts. All subsequent runs have had 8MHz parts
allowing higher performance and better all around accuracy. Mail order
houses often have the remaining first run boards that are still to be had.
