I've had a Toshiba for almost 3 years, and I love it. The P321 sells for about $550 from discounters, and is just a great printer. I personally think that the print quality from the Toshiba is a little better than the competetion. The Nec line is a definite contender, though. I haven't seen the C. Itoh. I can tell you from experience that the Toshiba is built like a tank, that Toshiba has been around the longest and has learned from its early mistakes, and that there are good Toshiba drivers available both in PD and commercially from Digital Creations (makers of Gizomz, etc.). Until the $500 laser printer, I'll take 24 pins anyday.
