Jeric: I would love to learn more about SCSI and High Sierra, where would you recommend I start (textbooks, articles, manuals,etc.). Any source of information you could provide would be greatly appreciated. As far as hooking the Amiga up to a CD-ROM, I am banging the drum as loudly as I can. I have a reasonable belief that Amy's ability to access 8 MEG of memory would fit nicely with the CD-ROM's ability to store 550 MEG of data. I am currently tinkering with a program concept that needs several hundred megabytes of raw data and the ability to manipulate about 2 or 3 MEG in memory. I think that there are only 2 computers that can do this for under $7000 (Amy and the Conpaq 386) (Sorry, the Compaq 386).

Try the two Microsoft books on CD-ROM. They are recommended. Don't forget the (gag) MAC SE and MAC II.
