#Insider is it!

I am giving an honest unbiased opinion when I say that I suggest to anyone
interested in expanding the memory of their Amigas. The product is solid,
works very well, is fully compatible, installs in minutes, and sports a
very attractive price tag. Best of all it is backed by people who will go
out of their way to satisfy you. UPS messed up on my order's delivery and
Ralph Landry at Michigan Software sent me E-Mail on CIS every day filling
me in on the status of the matter, then sent me a board Blue Label as soon
as the matter was resolved.
For thr uninitiated, Insider is a 1 meg board that autoconfigures, has a real
time battery-backed clock, and retails for $350.
For more info, leave a message to Ralph at PPN 72416,2051 or leave me a message
and I will give you their phone number.

I keep hearing nothing but good about Insider! I can't believe there isn't
someone out there with something not so good to say about it!
Erin, in all reviews I have ever done, I have found either something to
complain about, or said "I wish it did…. whatever." In the case of the
Insider, I can't find fault with it, nor can I think of any way they could
have improved upon it.
Wait a minute! There is something. It isn't external, so I can't use it as
a status symbol! Yeah! That's the ticket!
Woops… forgot… they did send me a decal to stick on the outside of the
Amiga, so I guess that's a good status symbol. Oh well.
Seriously, I am extremely pleased with it.
Regards, Larry.
Larry, they could have put sockets on it, and the tag they give you is ugly, so
I had to put that on the back. It sure is a great piece of hardware!.
.Dave
I know, you invented it… yeah that's the ticket! …and yet it happened.
Well, if someone doesn't say something quick I am going to order one on Monday.
I suppose it is not too much a drain on the power supply?
Thanks for the info!
Seems to be OK on the power drain Erin. I am running an external 3.5" drive in
addition to the Insider with no problems at all.
Regards, Larry.
Sounds like it is working out for everyone I talked to. I was really attracted
to the idea of internal ram expansion. The only other thing I want cluttering
up the desk is a hard drive. 🙂
Gee Erin, if we take a "hard card" and do a little hacking… there's room over
by the power supply, and a few jumpers and trace cuts and…. Naww!
<grin>
Regards, Larry.
The only not-so-good thing I can say is that I didn't have it sooner!…Dave
Hehe, I guess you like yours too. I am going to quit poking and buy one!
Sometimes good can be good! So what is a Starboard2 anyway?
Starboard2 is an EXTERMNAL memory expansion that can go up to 2-Megs and
eventually 8-Megs when the new chips are available. It will work with the
Insider…Dave
Fadi,
I'll add my 2 cents worth also…I have had 0 problems with INSIDER
since I installed it…and Ralph has been extremely helpful answering any
questions.
