Funny you should mention that "real" people are buying Amigas now, Ed. I was just reading the Washington Apple Pi newsletter, and there was some commentary in there lamenting the fact that the hard-core teenage hacker types had left the Mac in favor of the ST and the Amiga. It described the present Mac customer much like you described the Saturday Amiga shoppers. Do you think this is a general trend in the industry? Ariel

Ariel: Generally, when a CPU is first introduced it is `state of the art' and attracts techies, when it becomes a proven machine, that's what happens. It' not a trend, it is history repeating itself. E.J. Lippert II C Ltd. – (316) 267-6322

Ah but Ed those real people will soon be real computer freaks…Dave

Davey: I don't think all will become computer freaks. Some will, but many will buy the machine to do a specific task and leave it at that. Some people are born tinkerers, others, sadly, have no curiosity or desire to learn. They will never know what they're missing, not only from their Amiga, but from life in general! E.J.
