#SCSI, What is it?
8 messages in this thread
To Everyone:
There has been a lot of questions and interest about SCSI. There
are substantial benefits of SCSI over other systems, as well as many
specialized aplications. Most users don't understand what SCSI is, or
what benefits they derive from using SCSI as opposed to a different
system. (Kind of like the guy who's only computer ever was a Commodore-64
and then when he bought an Amiga, he was shocked to find out that CLI
didn't offer full screen editing like his C-64. He didn't realize what
he had, he thought ALL computers worked that way!)
If you all want, I can either make up a huge document about SCSI,
its functions, features and benefits and post it in the DL; or I can
post short "Did you know…." type peices every week or so here on the
forum. Let me know if there is any interest in either of the above,
and any preferences(heh).

Ed,
I think a document with all the info in one place would be ideal. If it
is truly humungous, prhaps a logical split between chapters, cutting each one
down to say 40 or 50K may be more approopriate.

Ed,
I'd be more than interested in the document..please upload it!

I'll have to compile it first, but O.K.

EJ;
I'b be VERY interested in seeing a doc on the subject. It's a bear trying to
work with 75-pin MicroTech AS SCSI's.
Another vote in the affirmative and a vote for 'in the message base' (I have
not read all the replies-just Steve's and he did not specify either one).
