Ed,
I was pleased to receive in the mail today yet another example of your lies
and blaming of others to benefit yourself. This time, Ed me boy, you shall
either immediately put out an “urgent technical notification'' retracting your
false statements or face me and my lawyers in court.
Technical Notification 1. Ok C Ltd SCSI Owners get your knives out!
Because you have to go cutting traces on your p.c. boards again. My beef (a
small one – wait it gets better)

First, why are you ballyhooing that you tried to use the pin when now you're
telling your customers to de-attatch it from the rest of your lame circuits?
Second, Ed. You should have looked a little better at your competition. ASDG
boards fully implement the Fight/Collision detection logic on each and every
board. Byte By Byte implements the full specification inside their PAL boxes.
CSA does as well. Oh, I'm sorry, all the companies I mentioned followed the
spec. Did you mean that to your knowledge only you and one other company who
did not follow spec tried half heartedly to deal with this aspect of the Zorro
expansion architecture.
Third, this is yet another example of Ed Lippert passing off the pedestrian
quality of his products by claiming the fault of others.

My dear fellow, if ASDG mini-racks are so prone to exhibiting YOUR problem, how
come we have never had any instance of an Amiga WE couldn't work with?

We have never had any instance where multiple Zorro boards could not work
perfectly well together. In fact, the only problem that's every been sighted
has been in getting two ASDG memory boards to work when placed after one of
your disk controlers? (Which magically happens to squash accesses to the first
megabyte of memory on our boards).
Also, (and I resist here the temptation to start using epithets), the
unbuffered trace lengths (buffers Ed, look them up in a dictionary) of the
Mini-Racks represent only a fraction (a very small one in fact) of the trace
lengths YOUR products incur by not buffering at all.
Also, the Mini-Rack-D buffers all Zorro signals about a quarter inch after
entering the box. Since all ASDG boards, themselves buffer all Zorro signals
within a quarter of an inch after entering the board, the Mini-Rack-C adds a
whopping half inch. YOU use up more than this in just wasted trace length due
to inferior trace routing.
Very simply, either publish a retraction or face court (and Ed, I hear you are
very well acquianted with courts). You have the motive, you have the false
information, and it can be proved that you knew you were mistaken when you
wrote your “Technical Notification'' since as a professional it would be
negligence to NOT have known you were lying.
One more thing Eddy, why do you keep publishing Urgent Technical Notifications?
These are the second and third ones I've received. Don't tell me your products
have mistakes? Oh yes, I forgot, your products work perfectly. It is the Amiga
that has mistakes.
And talk about customer service. Sure you publish
self-help-to-recover-fromC-Ltds-mistakes. But wouldn't it be better if your
designed better products in the first place?
