I was going to reply to your last message but lost it somehow. Bear with me
while I fumble through the system (documentation is not for reading). My
problem is that the Firm phased out async access a while back (security
reasons), so I need a PC-AT with Blue-Lynx or PCOX just to read my E-mail.
That plus an Amiga/printers/modems/hdisks leave enough room for a mousemat on
my desk. I have this vain hope that there is someway to ram an HDLC frame
into an Amiga so I can dump the AT.
If you were a betting person, would you bet that a PCOX board would work in
the A2000? Or BlueLynx? I'ld feel foolish buying a 2000 to try it out and
finding out that the PC slots didn't work quite right.
Also, Robert is my real name (no handles or monikers permitted, remember?)
but it was last used in 1976. I am known as The R0ML (the zero is correct
spelling). Correct usage requires the article when used in the third person,
but not in the first.

If I were a betting man I would bet that any board that worked in any
ibm clone would work in the ibm slots of an A2000. If you can borrow a board
from work, you might take it down to the closest Amiga shoppe and have them
try it out on their A2000. Good luck!

I've been doing testing of the Bridgeboard for Commodore and I can confirm
that 95% of the boards that will go into an IBM XT will also fit into the
A2000 and work. So far I have attached to an ethernet network, a Sysgen Tape
drive, a Microsoft bus mouse, and various printers. All without any
problems.
What have you tried that DIDN'T work?
I've had some 386 cards that didn't work. The Intel 386 wont work. Just
won't come up.

Interesting…we had an earlier message that someone was using the
Intel 386 card with the BridgeBoard. Also someone else was using the Orchid
Tiny Turbo 286 card and said it worked.
One that was on the can't use list was the Copy II PC Option board,
in fact whoever it was that tried it, said it fried his BridgeBoard.

I had a lot of problems with the Intel 386 board with the bridgeboard. I
will be receiving a turbo 286 soon though and will be testing that one out.
