If you open a custom screen, you can get up to 704 pixels per line. 660 pixels would be enough to support 132 columns. You do need to design a new font for the screen in a 4X7 matrix in a 5X8 cell. I have already done both of these in a demo program which may eventually turn into a terminal emulator package. For the moment, it's a good way to learn C and the rom kernal. The 4X7 font is not great but it is readable. I have also made a 160 column font (3X7 in a 4X8 matrix) and it is still readable. If you have the font editor from the developer's toolkit availible, a custom font will take a hour or so to design.

If you upload the custom screen code to do a 660×200 screen, I'm sure Rick Schaeffer can make good use of it in VT100.EXE. Sounds like he's got the font part covered, but could use the custom screen code… – Bela
