#Video effects

Hi…. I've played with TV Text (not very crazy about it)…. it seems like
a glorified Deluxe Paint for fonts. Definitely NOT for real-time character
generation. However, Pro-Video CG is excellent for this use! We use it
extensively. It can produce Rolls, Crawls, animated page transitions, and
the font quality rivals a Chyron. I haven't seen Video Titler from Aegis
yet (Are you out there, Bill Volk? When will it be out?) If you're doing
videotape editing, Pro-Video works well with Genlock also. Hope this
helps….. joanne b.
We are just finishing docs on VideoTitler. Looks like late this month at
best for a release. The major benifit of VideoTitler is that it can use
all sorts of Amiga source materal (IFF, ANIM's, Amiga Fonts, Color Fonts,
and PolyFonts) has an Intuition interface with overscan and PAL support (up
to 768 x 480 overscan in NTSC). It also saves the titles as structured
docs and/or IFF bitmaps. SlideShow program (included) also plays ANIM's and
VideoTitler will generate ANIM's as well (spinning titles, warping bitmaps
etc…). It's also got a keystroke interface (besides menus) and all
effects are modifiable.
