Steve: That is just what I did, and it is working sort of. I have had to reformat it about 8 times now, it seems real sensitive to the 2090. If I load a program say DrawPlus from it it will come up with a Read/ Write Error.. the program is loaded but there is the System Requester. If I choose Retry everything is fine, if I choose Cancel the AM-50 gets clobbered instantly. I infreqently have the same thing happen with JH0: but it doesn't get clobbered. I just though it was the speed of transfere.. the Amiga gets tired of waiting and calls it a Read/Write Error. Duane E..

Do you have more than 1 meg? If so, in your startup-sequence, the very first thing you do (before binddrivers) should be SLOWMEMLAST. This will solve the read/write error problem.

Steve: Yes I have a Micron 2 Meg card, but I have been getting all the harddisks up and running and then doing the SlowMemLast after that. I will give your siggest suggestion a try right away. Ben mentioned, and I have heard before that BindDrivers is not reliable, but I have no idea how to 'mount' the A2090 or the BridgeCard. Anyway sounds like you have a good idea.. Duane E…

Duane, The 'tired of waiting' is exactly what is happening…did you get the latest driver for the 2090, or are you using the one that came with the 2090? If you're using the original…go to DL 11 and get the new driver, all you have to do is replace the file hddisk in your Expansion directory, you don't have to re-format or anything else. (well…you do have to re-boot afterwards to move the new driver into use) Don

Don: Yes I got the new hddisk soon after I got the A2090, funny that CBM calls it hddisk when in the mountlist you gotta have '.device' on the end of it. Duane E…
