As a present I have just received a CASIO HT-7OO midi keyboard. I have searched the boards for patches or sequencers to use with this keyboard but I have not found any! Can I use the CZ files with my keyboard? If not can anyone point me in the right direction to find these files? I am new to this midi stuff, but I am anxious to get started! Please REPLY! <-:Barry Kucher:->

Barry, For a sequencer you might try Mimetics SoundScape Pro MIDI Studio. It should work with any MIDI keyboard. There are a few other Amiga sequencers around and each has its following. As for patches, thats another story. I don't know wether HT and CZ patch es are compatible. I just looked in my CZ manual and it doesn 't mention HT. Perhaps someone else knows, if not here then maybe in the MIFI forum (go MIDI at the ! prompt). Should've mentioned earlier, Pro MIDI Studio isn't PD, you won't find it on the boards, but at your dealer. Barry P.S. Like your name

The HT wouldn't be mentioned in the CZ manual cuz it's a newer synth than the CZ. I've got an HT-700 too but haven't had much time in the last few months to play with it. Dynamic Studio works fines with it, tho.

Thanks Steve, I was wondering why I'd never heard of it. Are you up one the current Casio line? I'm looking for a full sized MIDI, sampling synth for which there are *existing* patch librarian/editors (running on the Amiga naturally). I've never heard of Dynamic Studio, is it a sequencer, librarian or both? Barry

Dynamic Studio is a multi-track MIDI simulator which bundles Digital Drums. Watch for the forthcoming review! 8) Rick

I'll be watching for the review! You might also consider reviewing the stuff from Dr. T., Caged Artist, Sound Quest and Traingle Audio-just to name a few 8). By the way. What is a "MIDI simulator"?8} (for people with beards?)

If you think I'm NOT planning on reviewing those products, you don't know me at all. 8) Never heard of a "MIDI Simulator" that I can recall… speak on! Rick

Wait Rick, I thought that you mentioned "MIDI simulator" in one of your messages to me?

FOUND it no.115020 Fm. Richard Rae, To Barry Massoni. "Dynamic Studio is a multi-track MIDI simulator…" Ahh, could you have meant that the Digital Drums is a drum simulator? And come to think of it, what is an Electronic Musician? Last night I drove to the all night book store and wouldn"t you know it, they only had the March issue (with the big ST software roundup-guess they're saving the best for last). Barry
