In looking at the psuedo block used to create the dimension I noticed it had all the same things in the association list as a normal text It seems to me there could be a dimension variable that would set the color of the text as a constant. This would be adventagious even if associative dimensioning wasn't used. Thanks for the prompt answer.

Jeff — Ok, that's another vote for allowing the text in an associative dimension to assume a color other than that of the rest of the entity. It's been on the Wishlist before. Making a change like that isn't as simple as it appears. Consider that an AutoLISP entity association list is a way to examine a part of an AutoCAD drawing file. We can't change the drawing file or AutoCAD by designing a new item for the association list. We automatically change the association list entries when we modify the format of the AutoCAD drawing file, and the AutoCAD program code designed to handle that part of the file. This is a time-consuming and rigorous process, so we try to allocate our programming resources as best we can. That means we concentrate on those things we believe are most important to our customers. Unfortunately, this means that we can't implement everything that's on the Wishlist, at least, not in a single release. Despite all that, we have a fine track record of adding Wishlist items to AutoCAD. Thanks for the request. Please let us know of anything else you feel would be valuable to you in future releases of AutoCAD. — Brad ..
