Herc Troubles

I am using a few PC LTD 286 clones with AutoCAD with their mono card with
no problem. They are configured using the Hercules Mono option.
I've fought with several of the almost Herc clones and found that some of
them when used with Acad will push the Hor. and Vert. out beyond the lock
limits of some mono monitors. Try letting the monitor cool off and then
bring up Acad and try to adjust the V and H syncs, sometimes this will work
enough to verify it's the monitor and not the card. Second option is to get
somthing like a Genoa 4850-7 EGA card (about $200-250) and set switches up to
run as EGA on mono monitor. Text on above looks great and so does Acad.
