Christina, Luckily, the only "little" feet we have around are pawed! (Come to think of it, though, I sometimes have to keep the dog bribed with num nums too!) But hubby stays pretty quiet — he's getting used to trundling off to bed with me at the computer saying, "I'll be in in a minute!" But I'm also "only" doing a self-publish project at home (I have a day job to pay the mortgage), so I don't need to concentrate too hard. I also have Fridays off so the house is quiet then! —— Susan P.S. The doorway is about 6 feet wide, and my desk, printer, books, files, etc. take up a good 4 feet of the door, plus about 10 feet of the adjoining dining area!

Dear Susan…… I think we should definitely begin a campaign to promote the tech look as the latest thing in home decorating…..not that all glass and chrome type but your basic garlands of printer ribbon, shades made from continuous feed paper and maybe mouse pad coasters…..hey, think Metropolitan Home will but it? tell more 'bout your self-publishing job…… insatiably curious Christina (who also has five cats and a dog…agh!)

We decorated our Christmas tree with the tractor feed strips from the printer. The cats like to play with them too. Jim

Jim…. This opens up a whole new field …did you leave them white or color or ? though I mostly have paper things on our tree…I missed that idea and am now entranced…..so many possibilities! and it could exlain the odd strips that somehow always reside on my floor ….Oh, just saving them for Christmas! I will admit to the cat issue being a bit worrisomee..with five running our house…..I keep picturing falling trees……oh. dear! thanks for the great decorating tip though……maybe we could have a "Hints from Hackers" column in the forum nl…..look out House Beautiful! here come the techies! Cheers! Christina
