Will any of the '030 boards mentioned in AW be able to access any existing hard disks or memory expansions which were probaly put in before the '030 board was purchased? I'm guessing yes but I'm not really sure. If the answer is yes how much memory can the '030 board access, its own and/or the memory that the 68000 chip can access? thanks

David: I am using a 2630 with a Microbotics 8-UP with no problems. You can put 4mb on the 2630 board, and the system will recognize up to 9mb without doing anything special. I expect that most hardware that will work on a 2000 will work with the 2630. I also hear that people have had alot of success with the GVP 030 board. Clint <VRLI>

thanks. That is about what I thought. It would seem kind of silly to be able to upgrade the processer and not be able to take advantage of some or all of the hardware enhancements which may have already taken place to the 2000

My GVP 3001 access my old GVP hard drive controller, and recognizes the CBM 2Mb expansion. With my 4 Mb of 32 bit ram, I now have 7 Mb of ram available….WONDERFUL!!
