As I write this note, it is March 4, 1990. Why is the latest file in lib 0 (DDJ listings) from the January issue?

Because the listings haven't completely demangled yet. Tom G.

I couldn't find "demangled" in Webster's Ninth, but it certainly sounds like something that ought to be done to a listing. Thanks for the quick reply, and I will assume that the job is in the works.

Hi Tom. I, too, have been lurking in your Forum for a month or so awaiting the arrival of some listings. I guess this is as good a place as any to get into to some really heavy techinical discussions. What does a mangled listing look like? Is it only something listings can do, or do other files do it too? What exactly is the mangling process? Is the opposite process un-mangling, or demangling? Is there anything I can do to help? —Rick
