if you want to print faster you might want to use only those fonts which are downloaded to the printer (Postscript) Since the fonts are already there, the printing time is reduced.

Just noticed something today… SCREEN REDRAW is v-e-r-y slow with The Font Company's Caxton, whereas it's rather quick with your Tiffany-clone. Has anyone seen this problem with other TFC faces? (NB: When ordering fonts from TFC, you must EXPLICITLY ask for the AFM files.)

Shawn or Andrew, your message about slow printing was sent to me instead of to the person who asked the question. (ANOTHER reason to get TapCIS, in spite of what Pat thinks. <GRIN>) It just dawned on me that you may not know enough about CIS to do it right. Pardon me if I'm telling you something you already know, but you've got to "RExxxx" to the original message, and not to a reply to it. What you're doing now is creating a "thread" which the fellow asking the original question may or may not follow. Unless you actually reply directly to him, he'll never be notified when he logs in that there is a message waiting. And many people do not read all the messages (it's just too time-consuming and expensive), so he may never realize that you've replied. The message system is quite different here (and more sophisticated) than that found on most BBS's. If you want/need more detailed advice, ask away, and I'll do my best to help…
