Paul: Do you know how to increase the distance between the lines in PgS text? Apparently "kerning" does not cover line space distance. I don't want to doublespace, but do need more space sometimes. Will you tell me how? * db * P.S. Going to DL VScreen tonight. That sounds like a useful tool!

John, changing the line spacing is easy in PageStream. There is a distinct menu item for it. Just highlight the text you want to change, select "Line/Char Spacing" from the menu and adjust it. The number of points you specify is considered the amount of "extra" space over and above the normal amount that is standard for the given point size of type. You can also select a negative "extra" amount of space to jam the lines closer together. If you want to change all the text in a column, then select the column itself rather than highlighting with the text cursor, and the requester will prompt you for changing the selected block or the whole document. Joel, thanks for the reply on line/char spacing in PgS. I don't know where my head was that day. But I did find it (actually, rediscover it) and it's easy as pie. Thanks again. * db *
